Bushfire Recovery for Wildlife and Humans, Sunday January 19, 2020

The enormity of these fires, and what they mean, can feel over-whelming. Yet right now our communities are pulling together to help one another in so many wonderful ways. Anastasia Yatras and Jenni Dall are inspired to share with you some processes that they have found helpful in processing the big feelings like grief, fear, despair, that can get in the way of working toward the world we want to be living in.

Holiday Yoga: 7:30am and 9:30am Everyday until January 16, 2020

Johnny's HOLIDAY YOGA has been running every summer since 2003. There will be classes for everybody at 9:30am and 7:30am everyday (including Sundays and public holidays).

The 9:30am - 11:00am class is for EVERYONE, whether you are beginning yoga for the first time, getting back to it, or keeping on, the class is fun and varied and will suit the relaxed holiday mood. It's a great class to bring your family and friends to. The class will adapt to suit the weather and the room kept at a pleasant temperature. It is a good idea to arrive 5 or ten minutes early to take your place in the room.

New Yin and Vinyasa start May 20, 2019

Welcoming Shell Whitbread and her new Yin (Mondays 5:30pm - 6:30pm) and Vinyasa (Wednesdays 6:00am - 7:00am) beginning on May 20, 2019.

Shell is a passionate Yin and Vinyasa yoga teacher who is fascinated by the mind/body connection. 

Yin - Releasing stagnant energy and tension in the body by longer holds to release connective tissue and fascia. A practise of going within, slowing down, letting go.
Vinyasa - Connection of breath and movement focused on building strength, flexibility and mindfulness.

With yoga philosophy weaved through out class Shell encourages her students to use yoga as a way of creating balance and harmony in life.

Led-Practice now every Sunday 8.30am – 10.30am

When she died on 16 December last year, Geeta left a powerful legacy to the world of yoga. At Moore Street Yoga Room we marked the occasion with a memorial practice (read more about that here). Following this moving experience, participants asked for more, and so Jenni Dall has agreed to lead the six practices that make up the set. This will happen on the second and fourth Sundays, February to April.

Spring Sunday Workshop with Johnny Batchelor

This year, Johnny's Spring Sunday Workshop will get you moving. We will look at the principles of mobility and stability, along with balance. We will work energetically, but in a staged and steady way that provides a framework for exploring transformation in our practice, physically and mentally.
