New Yin and Vinyasa start May 20, 2019

Welcoming Shell Whitbread and her new Yin (Mondays 5:30pm - 6:30pm) and Vinyasa (Wednesdays 6:00am - 7:00am) beginning on May 20, 2019.

Shell is a passionate Yin and Vinyasa yoga teacher who is fascinated by the mind/body connection.

Yin - Releasing stagnant energy and tension in the body by longer holds to release connective tissue and fascia. A practise of going within, slowing down, letting go.
Vinyasa - Connection of breath and movement focused on building strength, flexibility and mindfulness.

With yoga philosophy weaved through out class Shell encourages her students to use yoga as a way of creating balance and harmony in life.

Led-Practice now every Sunday 8.30am – 10.30am

By popular demand: sequences from Geeta Iyengar on Sundays at Moore Street!

When she died on 16 December last year, Geeta left a powerful legacy to the world of yoga. At Moore Street Yoga Room we marked the occasion with a memorial practice (read more about that here). Following this moving experience, participants asked for more, and so Jenni Dall has agreed to lead the six practices that make up the set. This will happen on the second and fourth Sundays, February to April.

Self Care Sunday ~ A One Day Retreat with Lucy Roberts, Sunday November 18, 2018

How about an entire day devoted solely to you?

To rest, refresh, dust off some internal cobwebs and re-light your path?

In the busyness of everyday life we can easily find ourselves treading water. Keeping it all together… just, but lacking both the time and energy to really feel ourselves, to connect with our deepest desire, our dharma, and find new & creative ways to keep sharing it with the world.

9:30am - 5:00pm Sunday November 18th, 2018 at The Moore Street Yoga Room.

This day is all about doing just that ...

Remedial / Restorative Yoga Course from May 2, 2018

Johnny Batchelor's Remedial / Restorative course will begin for term 2 on Wednesday May 2. It will be an 8 week term, May 2 to June 20, Wednesdays at 12 Noon till 1:30pm. The cost will be $125-. Places are limited to 12 and booking is required.

This course will suit those who find general classes too strenuous, have a particular restriction or ailment they would like to address or want a gentle introduction to the fundamentals of yoga. The class is slow and careful and aims to help you improve mobility, strength and balance, and with stress relief: It will be good for those bad knees, shoulders, necks, hips and sore backs but is also balancing for the digestive and hormonal systems and promotes focus and clarity of mind. Remember, in this class postures will be adapted to take into account your current condition and so work appropriately with whatever restrictions you may have.

If you would like to book in for term 2 or would like further information, please email or phone Johnny.
