Winter Weekend Workshop with Johnny Batchelor 21/22 June 2014

Winter is a great time for exploring flow and dynamism within your practice.  Mobility and stability, flow and restraint: these qualities are not only about the outward expression of how you move in and out of poses. It is the subtle dynamism, cultivated within, that is even more richly rewarding and brings you closer to achieving the profound balance that yoga promises. In this workshop we will work on various ways to understand dynamism within your yoga practice.

Date: June 21 and 22, 2014:
Saturday: 2:30pm – 5:30pm
Sunday: 7:30am – 9:30am & 12:00pm – 2:30pm
At Moore Street Yoga Room

Suitable for those with at least 12 months regular practice: students should be reasonably confident in shoulderstand (sarvangasana) and either be doing headstand (sirsasana) or be familier with headstand preparations or suitable alternatives (contact Johnny if you are unsure). The workshop will include Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath work) and restorative asanas.

As well as the three sessions above, participants are encouraged to attend the 7:30am, Saturday morning led-practice on June 21 ($10-: proceeds contribute to the upkeep of the Moore Street Yoga Room). Led by Johnny, this practice will complement and lay the foundations for the themes explored during the workshop.
