Johnny Batchelor is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. Certification demands an on-going commitment to improving teaching skills and the quality of care offered to students. Johnny began studying Yoga in 1990 and teacher training, with Eve Grzbowski, in 1995 and has taught in Australia and NZ since. He continues to develop his practice and teaching under the guidance of Senior Iyengar Yoga teacher Kay Parry and with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. Juliet Willetts is a qualified teacher of Shadow Yoga, a style based on the ancient hatha yoga texts and founded by Zhander Remete. This style works with simple but challenging preparatory sequences designed to remove energetic blockages and link movement and breath (see www.shadowyoga.com). Juliet has practiced yoga since 1991 including throughout two pregnancies, and has taught since 1996. Greg Wythes’ classes are a functional approach to yoga. They focus on developing strength, flexibility, and efficient & integrated movement patterns, especially in the spine. Stephanie Downey has been practicing hatha yoga for 48 years (since 1963). She began teaching yoga in 2002 and began studies with Swami Sarasvati in 2009. Karla Sperling has been practising yoga for 27 years. In 2002, she began attending classes with Johnny Batchelor at Moore Street. In 2013 she commenced teacher training with Senior Iyengar Teacher Alan Goode at the Yoga Mandir Institute in Canberra. Karla is teaching Introduction to Yoga.
