Ashanna Roberts, Yin + Meditation on Thursdays at 6PM (from Jan.15 '26)

We are glad to welcome Ashanna Roberts into the Moore Lane Yoga Room teachers' group.

Ashanna will be teaching a Yin + Meditation class on Thursdays at 6pm, starting on January 15, 2026.

One of Ashanna's favourite aspects of being a yoga teacher is being a devoted student for life. Continuing to learn different modalities, evidence-based practices, ancient traditions, inspiring philosophy, and weaving them together to create a space where you can explore yourself and recalibrate to your innate sense of alignment. Ashanna's style is calming, grounding and supportive whilst also inviting curiosity and playfulness – creating a safe space to connect with and listen to your inner teacher.

If you are someone who needs a few numbers - Ashanna has been formally teaching for 8 years. This translates into hundreds of hours of public classes, being a speaker and facilitator at many events, running corporate programs and wellness seminars, teaching all ages and stages from kids yoga to chair yoga. Completed (and integrated) over 10 yoga teacher trainings from Pranayama to Pre & Post-natal yoga, Tantric Hatha to Acuyin, with more on the horizon, of course.

Yin yoga encourages us to practice and cultivate the stillness our busy lives often need. This class focuses on nourishing the soft tissues of the body through static passive postures. It often involves longer holds (3 – 5minutes) with the use of props to allow you to find as much comfort as possible while you stay for the time these tissues need. Physically a yin yoga practice helps to improve joint mobility, rehydrate and strengthen connective tissue and enhance flexibility and mobility. Combining this with the potent practice of meditation will leave your nervous system feeling regulated. This class is open to all levels, ages and stages, new and continuing practitioners.
